Sponsors come in all forms and I have always believed that no one sponsor is more important than another necessarily, some contribute more than others, but I firmly believe that all the sponsors of the Fast Dogs team have supported the team in whatever way they possibly can. So it is quite noteworthy that one of my co-workers, Brian Bakker handed me ten dollars in Canadian Tire money today and 40 dollars in "Madleys Meat Bucks". The Canadian tire money will buy quite a few headlamp batteries and the "meat bucks" will be spent at the local store to buy slabs of bacon which will be sliced thick, cooked and shipped to the checkpoints for trail snacks for the musher... More than the value of the sponsorship though, is the gesture and the kindness and support it represents....
